For months now, (since the end of Luke 9), the disciples had been walking with Jesus with Jerusalem being their final destination. They witnessed his teaching and miracles. What an incredible opportunity, don’t you think? Would Jesus keep on going until the whole world was healed and under his divine rule? The short answer is, “yes”, but in chapter 18, Jesus snaps the disciples back to reality: before his
